A responsible commitment to and involvement with communities has been a priority of the Group since its early stages. Ridge Solutions develops its business activities in sustainable and ecological ways, committing the company and its stakeholders to promote socio-economic improvements in their local communities.
Today the Group is involved in many local development activities, such as:
- The Williams Foundation: An Official Sponsor of the AT&T Williams Formula One team, Ridge Solutions and AT&T Williams have partnered to create the first Williams Foundation in the world, with its headquarters in Angola and activities in the following areas: promotion of a healthier lifestyle among youth (drug & alcohol prevention) through motor sports activities, educational programs, and road safety campaigns throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Special Olympics Committee: Ridge Solutions is the official sponsor of the Angolan Special Olympics team, supporting athletes with physical and mental disabilities and other special needs.
STRIVING FOR A HEALTHIER FUTURE FOR ALL ANGOLANS
As part of our Social Responsibility Program, we have developed several programs with several governmental institutions such as the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Social Integration, the Ministry of Education, the pension fund of the Armed Services, and the pension fund of the Police, helping to rebuild the country and assisting those in need through:
- Youth Programs: Ridge Solutions supports a shelter for 200 boys rescued from Luanda’s streets that provides accommodation, meals, healthcare, education and sports activities
- Low Cost Housing: Through the years we have been a consistent partner of the Angolan Government in developing hundreds of low cost housing units
- Community Buildings: Our Land Development projects include the construction of waste treatment facilities, schools, health centers , sports facilities and community centers
- Tennis Tournaments: The Master Series Ridge Solutions is a tennis tournament which aims to promote the practice of this sport in Angola, as well as to make tennis a premier sport on the African continent
